Question adding componets

I want to add some mq quart componets in my door, preferably 7inch midranges, which i guess is the 6.5 but they call it a 7inch for this perticular model, after cutting up the hole where the stock speaker fits, will this speaker drop in? how much would custom kicks be?

I don't know much about the mq quart speakers, but the Q-Forms kick panel pods will run you $199.95 a pair at Crutchfeild. They have great imaging and they are custom made for your specific vehicle. Well worth the money IMHO.

Most of the qforms will fit up to a 5.25". Some of them fit 6.5s. You will have to call and check. Go with custom fiberglass kick panels if your wallet allows.

I would be careful putting a 7 inch in the door. First, I think it won't fit well, and second, that would be a lot of power for that thin piece of sheetmetal. May cause a lot of vibration. If you have to do it, then reinforce the hell out of it with MDF, and dynamat the whole door.

I do not know which model you are going to use. But mine are PSC216's and all I had to do was cut just a little out of the door to get mine to fit. They cleared all of the stuff in the doors just fine. I used a composite plastic to make and adapter which helped. I checked and they won't fit in the Q forms unless you space them out. Hope this helps...

For those of you who have put larger drivers in your doors, can you please post pics/instructions as to how it was done? I'm installing a 3-way comp set next week so I gotta find out!
Thanks

Sorry I do not have many pictures (there are a few on my website at http://www.geocities.com/brokeagin that you can check out if you want). But what I was faced with was when the stock speakers (and the 6 1/2's) were installed in the factory holes, almost half of the speakers was hidden behind the door panel to the front of the grille. I moved the speakers to the rear by enlarging the factory hole by cutting a half moon section out of the door. I took a piece of 1/2" thick composite material and cut it big enough to cover the now larger hole and mounted it to the door. I then mounted the speaker to the composite material. Now the speaker is centered more in the door panel speaker grille. Questions???
