Hey every one my old type r's are ready for retirement But its time to upgrade list what you got and how you like them add if your doors are deaden list that as well . I need a pair in the 150 watt rms range. Or lower as long as they can take the extra watts. I have been looking at so many I have speaker brain .

polk Audio mm6501 and the 5x7 DB polks in the back door. powered by a Rockford Fosgate 400.4 T series amp. Sounds great and a lot cheaper than other components that I looked at. No deadening in the doors

Polk Audio MM6501 in the front doors, Polk Audio MM571 in the rear doors. Powered by JL Audio xd700/5. Doors are deadened using MurderMat BL Series. Deadened inner skin, outer skin and parts of the trim panel. Also built a composite cover for huge hole in the inner skin of the door when you remove the stock moisture barrier. I've had these components before. Very strong.

Hertz Mille MLK165. Amp depends on the day. Some days its bridged across an Eclipse XA4200 and they are getting 250ish... Otherdays they are on my Audison VRX150.2

Ive done Dynaudio Esotec 342's, Polk SR 6500, Polk DB651, Eclipse SP570's, JL XR570CSi, Infinity Kappa Perfects, etc. Ill take the Hertz all day long. Doors are more than fully deadened.

Yea, its been a while. The funny thing is I have posted less than 30 times in the last 2.5 years and I still have 2+ posts per day.... But I got tired of being told I don't know a thing. I am still installing, Im a Master Tech now. You been okay?

Anderson, if you got the PRO's (silver cones). Ive ran them for a few days. Just didnt like the lack of midbass. Damn nice speaker on the higher end of things.

That's what I've been hearing. People seem to like the tweets.

Great crossovers and tweets. Mid range ok. I researched them pretty good. And decided to go with Alpine SPR-60C .Why ? I wanted to bi- amp passive .Run only Mid's in back doors. And got 2 pairs less then for the price of 1 set of X's .
