Those 8s are disgusting! Tempting tempting...

I started the box build today... should be done tomorrow or Sunday. Gonna run a pair of 10s for now and see how I like it. Here's the grainiest iPhone pic of all time:

Nice! I imagine you will need to EQ 30-40Hz down a bit in that box, the Kodas played nearly flat down to ~30Hz in my sealed box. Cabin gain in the F150 is solid.

Any port noise? Also what brand of ports did you use? Where did you get them from?

No port noise.

I actually made them... out of some 3" ABS from Lowe, a heat gun and a bundt cake pan lol

Port press using the spare tire jack:

Before further heat forming and sanding smooth:

I read about guys making their own flared ports before and thought I'd give it a shot.

I could but it's super simple... You could do it no problem honestly. These are 5.25" on the outside flare and 4.25" inside.

TC9s would be awesome. Your current setup not enough? Maybe you can try modifying the inside flares to work.

Even though these are SQ subs they're definitely more than enough output-wise.

Hey Msall I think I do want to buy the adire Kodas off of you. Can they be wired down to 1ohm? Sorry i'm too lazy to look up the specs. I LOVED my D6 10's and if they wire to 1ohm then I will be able to throw way more power at them since I F'ed up and could only leave my D6's at 2ohms although I ran them a 0.5ohms for a short while I just didn't want to put that kind of stress on my amp. So hopefully they hit pretty damn hard and sound good in the process. Never thought I would be a fan of 10's especially coming from 4 12's then the single 15 on 3000 watts. But I really liked them. If I don't get your Kodas then I am going to go in a different direction. I am looking for two Navigator middle row seats and I wan't to put them in the rear and do a flow thru and also incorporate a shifter conversion since mine is on the fly and I would probably end up putting 3 10's ported in the flow thru. Awwwe I can't wait.

They are single 4 ohm coils each and can be wired to 2 ohms. But they are only rated 300 RMS each. I fed my pair 800w @ 2ohm sealed and it was plenty.

As for your other plan, search for a post by a member named "jrfonte". He did the rear navigator seats with a middle sub box extending front to bock with 4 Dayton 15" subs sealed. That would probably be the most ridiculous setup possible in the F150 without a blowthrough.
