Bad choice getting 2 under the seat. Not enough air space. Gona sounds terrible bro. I have one and its incredibly loud. Don't be greedy and dumb, just get one with alpine 1000

Not exactly. I've made some dimensions for a dual box under the seat netting about .65 cu ft per side, and the JL calls for .8 cu ft. But with poly fill you will still get nearly the same response with the smaller box, so no problem. Will sound just a good.

Or just get 2 BMs and demolish any JL setup possible under the seat while saving monies $$!!.

okay so mSall150 you recommend going with 2 BMs vs 2 jl tw5 with a 1000/1v2?? what kind of amp with the BMs??
and bulldawgfan141 you recommend only 1 with a alpine 1000. only thing I was recommended the 500/1v2 for one tw5.
also I want my box to be the width of the bench seat. that is why I mention the 2 tw5 to take up the whole room underneath the seat. I also like heavy bass that is why I want to use high end components..

Oh man I am loving them. I was definitely expecting them to sound similar to the Kodas, and for SQ purposes they sound very close, maybe a tad better than the Kodas. THey blend in with my Seas mids extremely well. But output the BMs just absolutely demolish the 10s. And seeing as the Kodas have more throw than any other 10 I've seen under the seat without a lift, I can confidently say that nothing will beat 2 BMs without a seat lift. When I get my truck back on Saturday I'll maybe take a video of the BMs. Even with the heavily deadened back wall the BMs shake the living hell out of everything back there if I crank some silly rap music. Its kinda funny.

As far as what amp to use, anything that does 500-900 watts into 4 or 1 ohm (for 2 BMs).

The 2 JL tw5 and 1000/1 is actually a very very solid setup but will cost 2x as much for slightly less performance.

well I decided to go with the 2 BM's for 220 a piece. All I need now is a good amp to handle them, would the jl1000/1v2 be good? I want to have matching amps for the speakers and subs. Also would it be good to separate each sub with their own enclosure? I ask because the box will be long and I think is to much free space in their. the height under the seat is about 5 1/2 inches, so how much should each chamber be? I want a lot of excursion space since I will be adding a epicenter or would you guys not recommend one? I love a lot of bass and I listing to rap and reggae, but that stuff does not have much bass so I need to crank up the bass.

Well I just put my 2 BM's with a single JL 750/1 and wow I am impressed. They hit pretty damn hard and good for a pre fabbed box downfired. I still need to break them in but I am thoroughly impressed with them so far. For the price they can't be beat, they can be setup in a pretty confined area, they are well made and most important their price is reasonable. Thank god i went with these instead of the 13TW5's i was originally planning. I don't think you will be disappointed when you hear them for yourself.
