Exclamation Who is interested? box for SI.BM...

Fox accoustics is willing to make a box for the bm for everyone here. We would need at least 8 people in order for him to produce the box.I am getting an answer ifr he will do upfire. I told him the sub needs 2 inches from baffle to floor or seat clearance to properly load. I will find out more when I hear from u all..... Also the box will be about 150.00

Keep in mind that all group buys need to be approved by Rockpick. Just send him a PM or an email.

For 150 bucks, I would only do it if it was:
a) for 2 BMs
b) upfire
c) complete 3/4" MDF construction, no plastic.
d) fits SUPERCAB without sticking out more than an inch or so.
e) color matched carpet.

It would be nearly impossible to fit with 2" of excursion room, but 1-1.5" would prolly work and the BMs dont have massive excursion so thats okay. If its upfiring it will be fine like that.

Noted will pass that along. The plastic is purely trim pieces for the box, (for looks). They arent the sides. The top caps will be unnecessary.

I understand. I just think plastic looks tacky, especially for a $150 custom box.

So JJ, did you order some BMs?

Just let me know if it looks like you're going to be able to pull it off... we'll move this down to Group Purchases if it works out.

Best of luck.

Then why do people have trouble fitting W3s and IDQs if its that much room? Or are you talking about his potential BM model?

Well if the fox box is stripped down to the shell the clearance is there. As the box sits the baffle to floor is 1.5. That is with the round extension ring in place that gives the box extra depth(besides the top caps)so, with that ring removed 2.25 baff to floor. the top plastic caps are what make the w3 or idq do-able with that box. I am still emailing back and forth. If this gets promising to reach 8 units, then Im sure it will be more serious. Trying to work it out.

Sweet! The box was the only thing holding me back from the SI BMs. I'm in for sure but need to know ASAP. I'm holding off on ordering the SI BMs until this is a go and there isn't much time left for the pre-order pricing.
