I'm also a DB571 customer, After alot of research I found someone selling 2pr for $80 on ebay about a year ago, couldn't pass on the deal. The sound was a nice improvement over OE, not night and day but subtle, this past tax return I purchased a HU and man, nnnoooow the DB571's sound VERY nice.
I'm still stumped on what do do for bass, I have to say for the DB571's being coax they put out some good range, I plan on amping them in the next few months.

on a side note, skits and giggles I popped in some bass tester tracks off the ipod and these little budget coax ovals can sub..LMAO

You would just have to make a custom bracket/mount to mount the speaker on. msall150 did it in one of his install threads I believe.

I've put the Polk's in several of my Fords as stock replacements. Currently I've got them in all four corners of my Expy and in the rears in my F150. Up front I've got JL components (they need replacing now though). I've always been pleased with the Polks...however. I ran into some issues with the tweeters in some tower speakers (not car related, I know) and their customer service nimrod told me I need to go out and buy a $2500 Denon receiver and attempted to give me the run around. Their products may be good, but their CS is pompous and lacks...customer service. When I've registered several thousand dollars worth of car and home audio products with them, I expect them to bend over backwards to make me happy.

That being said...for the money, the Polk db's don't suck.

I ordered some of those. It'll make the switch easier.

The Alpine SPS-507 speakers are very good, but for $20 more you can get the Alpine SPS-609, 3-way speakers...

Well I haven't gotten any yet. Still deciding.

Thinking about these: Kenwood KFC-C6882ie. I'm ordering from Crutchfield since I already (DOH) ordered speaker adapters from them when I would have gotten them free with the purchase of the speakers. :o They are going to take $25.98 off the price of the speakers for me.
