I cannot argue that, but what happens if/when the shop is no longer present? In this economy and being in the business myself I sadly see shops going under more often that I'd care to.

Furthermore Elettromedia (Hertz/Audison parent) is distributed in the US by Advanced Marketing only, in which case covers and runs the entire country. There are no other distributors. To take that a step further IF he was ever to be a distributor, distributors are used for replenishment of actual authorized dealers, not the general public.

If you feel that anything I have told you may be untrue, feel free to contact the company directly to confirm.. 877-567-3030. Im not here to pee in your Cheerios, just stating the facts.
I went back and read through our correspondence as the more I thought about it the whole distributor thing didn't make sense. I mis-remembered the statement. As I read it again it becomes apparent he isn't trying to become a distributor, but upgrade his distributor(meaning dealer) status. I assume there is some kind of bronze/silver/gold/etc dealer levels that he was trying to move up the ladder on.

I didn't start the deal on the premise of the Hertz speakers, but was doing some other business with the shop and asked what else they carried. One thing led to another, and now I own Hertz equipment. It is a reputable shop and I know MANY people through various boards and no one has ever had a bad thing to say. So IF I have any problems, and IF Hertz/Elettromedia decide it isn't their concern, and IF my shop turns out to suck, I'll simply trade them in with HAT's trade in program and get more than enough money in HAT credit to get replacement speakers from them.

The way I see it, I can't lose anything but time...and I got plenty of time.

On a side note, why is Elettromedia so damn secretive about where to buy their products? The one place they sent me to said the couldn't/wouldn't get them....

I see your point and most likely it will work out for you. Let's just hope you keep it to those two choices of products. LoL

Secretive? Not sure. They sent you to a local dealer that told you he wouldnt order anything for you? Just trying to clarify your statement so I understand.

Said he only dealt with Audison. Didn't have any stock from what I could tell either.
