FYI that amp is a monster. I just installed one in my truck today (along with a T600-4) for my mids/highs. I'm now a Rockford believer!

How do you plan on wiring your w6's? If you wire em' down to 1ohm be careful, that amp will roast them subs!

As far as where to cross them over, i think its personal preference for the most part. Start at 80hz and adjust to taste (anything over 80 is probably too high). I personally highpass my sub around 63ish.

I didn't mess with the punch EQ on the amp, but i think i boosted 45hz a few db with via my head units parametric EQ. Same thing. I still have to play with it a bit though.

Possibly, I dont know/remember all the details of what you have and are using.

Go to this link, it will tell you how to set gains properly: https://www.f150online.com/forums/am...-lp-ap-hp.html

i tried doing it that way, but im just not sure lol...

im running the 2 12" W6's wired at 1 ohm, i set my LPF around 70hz.

i think i could possiblly go up a little on gain, maybe a possible 8, also when i adjust gain, do i have the sub woofer levels on my head unit set to 0?

well to be specific, 3db is twice as much power (like 250 to 500 watts). sounds like a whole lot but isn't always noticable.

double the apparent "output" or "loudness" is more like 10db to the human ear.

so what anyway?

on the IVA-W200 the sub level is variable from 0-15, 15 being the loudest obviously. personally, i like my unit set to where 8-10 is the desired output on most bass heavy tracks i listen to (hip hop / r&b). that way i still have room to turn it up on other types of program material.

so for me the right gain on the amp was in the middle of 3 and 5.

sounds about right, but i don't think anyone can tell you its right or wrong. like i said, its personal preference. but i don't like my subs playing too much midbass so i have my xover set around 63hz, 18db slope. sometimes even lower.

do you have alpines pxa-701 by any chance?
