well it finally took a hit on me. Ive been working on the box for a few hours each day. And well i think the resin/fiber glassing got to me. I am sicker then ****, my sinuses are so messed up. I am taking a break today. Whats odd is i am wearing a repertoire too.

I was going to sand the box and get it ready for a couple more layers of mat. but im gonna start that next week..

But no one knows where i can pick up some thicker mat? Or where to look or start looking?

repertoire? You mean respirator? I hope so, especially when sanding!

The fiberglass resin should not be used in enclosed spaces, and if it is, use a mask for the fumes and vent that stuff out of the area with fans.

And if you're sanding, you not only want to be using a respirator, but you should also have glasses on and wear long sleeve shirt and pants (many people get itchy from the sanded fiberglass getting on their skin, sometimes into their pours).

As for thicker mat, that would be marine supply. They usually have mat that is used to repair hulls in fiberglass boats. But remember, the thicker the mat, the more resin you need to get it saturated.

Got the box playable, sounds good.. But im not to sure if it a little to big or not... Also i need much more power... I have them wired up to Rockford Bd1000 at 4 Ohms which is supposedly 500 RMS, but they move alot for a "500 RMS set up..

i think i may add in a 2X4 to tighten up the bass slightly..

All depends, are you running 2 wires from the amp? Or just jumping off from one sub to the other.
