You remind me of a guy I fired. Another stuck up, egotistical, "Im the best out there" installer.

Mark obviously you havent done too much work with MTX. Their 5500's are nice and so are the 9500's.

first of all im not egotistical at all...im no means the best out there and not even close...im about really good sound quality, thats all, i have never gotten the sound quality i wanted out of an mtx and thats it...i mean if a CORRECT box is built with sub displacement in mind and all the specs correct, running the right amp and possibly a 4 ohm then i have no doubt that an mtx could give great sound quality....seriously though dont start saying crap about my character like that just to start shi$.....i was just joking around about the subs sound quality...so chill the ******* out

No a 9500 doesn't pump out power . An Amplifier pumps out power . A 9500 will blow away a W7 in SPL and SQ all day long and just about any other woofer on the planet . Ask any serious (longtime) true audiophile that has put a 9500 through extensive testing . Many have said they put the 9500 in there top three woofers made , at any price . With the two woofers ahead of the 9500 being in the $1500-$2000 dollar price range.

Youre right. I took that way to far, I shouldnt have tried questioning your character. Sorry, it was a bad day. I had just built a 2K shed for my Mom's house (not mine) and I put it in the wrong spot by 4 feet. Now the parish is throwin a huge fit and I have to rip 2K down... Not thrilled.

The 9500 series is a nice sub. I sell them for $500.00 but I usually upsell them to the DB Drive WD series instead. The WD series will handle 10,000 watts and thier reconing kit is only $130.00 if you cook one.

My son loves the DB WD subs

Another great one which is what I personally run in my Excursion for the time (until I sell them) is the DB Drive PLW12D2 subs. They are a 1000 watt RMS sub that I have never had to warranty and have always maxed power out on them for customer's vehicles. For $200 a pop they are great. They do weigh 40lbs though. I have six of these slot ported going behind the seats in the 82 Camaro.
