~Sound System Show-Off~
Gimme a break, i was hammered. Subwoofer is upfiring, box design is for upfiring driver.
Have any of these guys told you to invest in a quality install for your system, or to pursue a front stage?
soundsolutionsaudio.com is not a good car audio forum?
must not be since there is no bashing on each other and its mostly sq oriented, and it has the owners of various companies in there giving advice and verifying to customers and soon to be customers of any questions or concerns they have.
you're right i must need to get in a good car audio forum full of noobs to learn absolutely nothing.

yes, but its my choice when i want to do that.
i know it needs done, but when you have tons of other things to do then that at the time, it is irrelevant to me.
trust me, i am dying to get a front stage put up asap! i just have too much to do right now.
hurricane hit pretty hard where i live and we're finally replacing fencelines and other damage. let alone i still have to work during the day too as im on call 24/7.

Here's a few pics of the audio in my truck. I just upgraded my old infinity REF6822CF's to Hertz Hi-Energy HSK 165's up front and HCX 570's in the rear doors. Also had a custom slot port box built for my RE SE 10, which I ended up blowing shortly after. Upgraded to a RE SX 10 for now.
IVA-W200 going two years strong. Theres a Alpine PXA-H701 tucked away in the space above the glovebox on the pass side.

HSK165's & unfinished adapters for the 6.5's. The crossovers are tucked under the door controls for easy access. Still need to deaden the doors.

RE SX 10 and custom box behind drivers seat. I usually never have more than 3 ppl in the truck so I opted to go this route. I have a neutrik speakon connector on the sub so I can pull it out quick if I want to.

MRP-M1000 powering the SX 10

MRP-F450 powering the HSK165's and HCX570's

Stinger battery up front. Only did the ground to chassis part of the big 3 but plan to do the rest in a couple of days

Thats pretty much it, nothing special but i just felt like sharing. I plan on upgrading my amps asap and maybe adding a center channel since I have a 701 in there.

THIS is definitely something I like, not a fan of a giant box taking up the whole back seat. I think it looks a little tacky, and I use my truck for my business so it might not look as professional.
I briefly looked into some thinner underseat boxes for the F150, but they all seemed to need a "lift kit" to bring the seats up 2.5 inches and forward 2 inches. Is this what you used? If so, it is definitely looking like a better option now that I know what the finished product can look like.

Impact i have always loved your setup, even though im not a huge sound fanatic. I just like the way your box looks sitting there.
One small irk though, every time i see your center channel speaker all i can see is the corners of that cover peeking up....
PLEASE mold something with curvature for that thing!
And find your box specs! Is that with the stock back seat or a seat lift?

Actually the corners of the center channel don't stick up. The sun was casting a shadow giving that illusion. You know I did run across my box designs but I don't know off the top of my head where I put them after I purged my garage.
Here's the only pic I have of mine...its just 2 10" JBL GTO subs with a rockford p300.1 mono amp...sounds good for what I want - pretty good sound quality imo and get more than loud enough for me. Its not much, but I like how the box's carpet matches the interior and its nice and hidden under the rear seat. Subs are downfiring. I'm thinking about cutting the box in half and just going with one more powerful 10" or 12" shallow sub (like a p3s, for example) so I can have some more room under the seat and put the factory jack and tire tool back in their place.
2 12" rockford fostgate p3 subs

Built the box and the whole setup myself, alse have a kenwood touch screen deck and alpine co-axel speakers, subs are being power by a rockford fostgate 1000 watt rms power elite amp.

Nice work...awesome set-up. It looks like hearing protection is definatetly a requirement. I saw you went with the P3's ... good choice.
