I know you guys are talking about scabs, but ive got a supercrew and was actually just looking into these same kinda powered subs. Will the factory audiophile sub work with just the 6-disc headunit?

I should also mention that it sounded like utter crap. At least with the JL subs you have tonality and musicality along with your thump.

For the F150 my plan is for a single Boston G510 (dual 4 ohm) and the Boston GTR passive, tuneable radiator in a tight, down firing, sealed enclosure in place of my center jumpseat. Add about 500 watts RMS from a high-current amp (Arc Audio signature series is likely) and enjoy a nice sound quality system.
i have a ab class coustic 300x2 at 2 ohm , it is in a unported box fireing to the rear of a ford escape the box is bulk-e but im very satisfied w/ it for only haveing just under 600.oo in all of it brand new

I had the audiophile in my truck but tore it out within a couple months of having it. Had azmidget make a box that fits perfectly under the rear seats to hold my two infinty 1030w's. Just need to carpet it and it will look almost factory.

I post pics later when I am not at work.

I just bought and installed a Kenwood SW-10.. thats the upgrade to the SW-1. I love the way it sounds.. I also have a Kenwood double din stereo setup.. I love the way the sub sounds inside the cab. Its not too much... but it does add the depth that I think you are looking for. I chose this powered sub for the small form factor.. and because I really don't need or want to thump myself off the road.... if you have any questions.. please email me I'd be happy to help out...

If all went well I was going to take that experience and open my own shop... that never happened. I took the test (which was a piece of cake), got certified and continued to just do it for hobby. Fiberglass is the only thing I haven't really mastered, everything else is easy.
Fiberglass is insanely EASY!

Ya, thats kinda what I signed on for, Volume. Im bout ready to take my underappreciated skills elsewhere.
