Low_e_Red Install Thread

Since everyone has their own, I figured Id start one.

Well, I had a couple questions for yall.... (Yes, I know... )

Should I leave my SR's in the doors and glass them in like Crewwzin did or make custom kicks? Both require me to pull out the glass and the doors I can have done in a day the kicks more like 3 days...

I think I want to biamp the doors plus put either 6.5'' or 8" midbass in my rear doors. Any thoughts on amps or spks?

I personally would love to see you do them in the kicks for two reasons.

1) I havent seen any kickpanel installs in our trucks.

2) I wanna be the only one on this forum with glassed door panels!!

Haha...naw man, do what would be best for ya. Imitation is the ultimate form of flattery.

Either way would be cool as hell.

I have once. But not the way I would do it...

I def like those doors. If I do the kicks Im glassing that part shut because I hate the look of that grey piece. Because you can see all the dynamat behind it.

I would put two 8's in the front doors.. 3"-4" mid and tweet in the kicks.. I have tried the midbass in the back doors and it just isnt right. It only took me about 1 hour a door to get the 8's in the front. I used a 3/4" and a 1/2" spacer and my 8's are 3.75" deep.. then i put 4" midrage and tweet in the kicks.. running all active.. you will have to cut some metal and some of the door panel but its not that much.. this sounds the best to me than all the other things that I have tried in this truck.. by the way its a 2004 lariat screw
