Yeah I know. It sucks cuz im finally getting transferred into the bay in two weeks....only to sit around and probably not do a whole lot.

I guess the one thing I can be happy about is im gonna get some experience with remote starts...seeing as the RS season in AZ is starting to get underway.

 

Ok, got a question. Has anyone heard the Eclipse 3-Way Components (SC8365)? I have a set here and havent heard them. Just wondering if I should throw my SR's in my 06 Explorer and put the 3-ways in my truck or leave the SR's in mine and 3-ways in the Explorer?

The audio section is steadily getting worse without you guys around.

 

Well....my (ok, my neighbors) wireless isnt working for me anymore, so it looks like I am going to have to call the phone company and actually pay for the internet now...I just havent gotten around to it yet

Ive def. noticed that when I do visit here I dont even find anything interesting to post in/about, or its all the same stuff thats been gone over 3200 times.

I get home from school on friday...which means saturday i start ordering my new system. Going to be somewhat similar to yours actually. Was going to do a budget system, but now im thinking i'll just spend the money and get some rainbow comps, but we'll see. KnuKonceptz speaker wires/RCAs, that kicker wiring kit for power/ground, yellowtop, Rammat, etc.

Im super excited, finally going to have 2 12s under the seat (no seatlift). I'll PM you the details, because i kind of want to keep the substage "secret" for a little bit.

 

man I dont even hang out in the audio section anymore because of all the noobs and the same subjects over and over. You missed the glory days msall when bartak and brypink and dcondor and all the oldies were around. We used to have some interesting topics back then. Hell most of those guys taught me a lot and made me into the audio freak I am today

 

ha yeah when i first joined they were all around, i was just a noob back then. I remember brypink and dcondor and bartak and styxy, i learned a lot from them all too. Which is why my sound system will finally be high quality here quite soon.

I really wish it would be that way again though.

I got a hold of some brand new 3way Eclipse Components for 195. And I had heard almost nothing about them... So I figured Id ask...

I miss all the old timers. Those were the glory days. (pre KR)

Dont do Rammat. Its an asphalt mat. Do either Extreme or Secondskin.

P.S. I may be looking into the SR 12's very very soon... And KKR order time... As CCity is starting to look like a sailed ship.

Low, now that I think about it, Travis might have put a set of 3way Eclipse comps in his truck....Hes the one with the red truck and 18" Solo X, I cant remember his exact screen name......but oh well, you already have them.

I checked out those SR10s on Polks website a while back, still havent had a chance to see/hear them myself though. You should let me know how you like them...compared to that W6 or something.
Then again I might end up with something like Msall is going with too just because of the awsome spacesavingness .


I have to tell you guys about a conversation I had this weekend to with a kid....actually I pretty much just listened and nodded my head. I dont get to hear storys like this myself much so I have to share. Anywho.....A bunch of buddys and I were riding around in my buddies truck with the stereo (stock) cranked, along with some kid....friend of a friend of a friend or some chit. Anywho, my buddy that was driving asked me what he could do to his stereo to make it sound a little better for a decent price. Well, new kid over hears and proceeds to take over "How much do you want to spend?" Buddy goes "Oh just 4-500 bucks"
"Dude....you could put together a sweeeeet system for 400 bucks. Something like my old one, it was the cleanest, hardest hitting system around"
Me-"Oh really, what did you have"
"P5s"
At this time Im running through my mind trying to think...p5, p5...Ive heard of those but why cant I put my mind on it...does he mean L5, like the kickers?????
He procedes..."and these werent the cheap Walmart versions either, these are the REAL P5s...1300 bucks a piece (I ***** you not, his EXACT words) ; It sounds like your into systems too, what do you have"
Me-trying not to laugh or be an azzhole, but still be a little one "Nothing you have ever heard of, maybe the HU"
"Oh really, try me"
I rattle off what I have and he just goes "Uh huh, yep" after each piece I named off.

At this time my buddy was pulling up to my truck and this kid jumps out of the back...."Let me hear it man, I bet its not as nice as mine but it still sounds decent" I laughed and made up the lame excuse that I had everything halfway ripped out because I was changing it up...I just didnt want to deal with the kid anymore.

Anywho, jumped in the truck and continued to laugh my *** off as I made my way to the bar. The real 1300 dollar P5s....ohhh that was a knee slapper. Still makes me chuckle.

I'll never forget this one night from highschool, i was hanging with a bunch of kids who were 1 year younger than me (since my GF was 1 year younger, i was with her) and this kid, thinking he was sooo sick, pops his trunk and is blaring his 10" sony subs from bestbuy...and people were ooohhs and ahhhhs, i started laughing. He didn't find me laughing very funny, and proceeded to give me about a 5-10 minute lecture on car audio. I was biting my tongue the entire time, my eyes started watering i was holding back the laughs so hard.

I love noobs. I used to be one, but now i enjoy listening to them.
