Some of them will knock your socks off output wise, no doubt, but as far a sound quality, I have yet to be impressed by them really.
More of a SPL company in my book.
As for pricing, I couldnt even comment on that, I have no idea what they cost.

Whatever works for you. I have made some very nice systems both in sound quality and SPL with some of the most basic of audio manufacturers. Install it right, it'll sound right.
DD has been a good manufacturer for years.
Funny story about Digital Designs. When they first launched they had some crazy *** huge 15s with a large "DD" on the cone. I had no idea who they were. When I was manager for Circuit City Roadshop we had some guy roll in with a Cadillac with Texas plates. He pulls up and askes if anyone was interrested in buying some audio equipment. That same day about two hours before I just sold a guy my Desert Eagle 50 cal for $1200.00 so I had some cash burning a whole in my pocket.
Anyways the guy asked if anyone was interrested in purchasing some equipment. I said I'd take a look at it and we went out to the car. He pops the trunk and custom installed are four large speaker baskets facing out and five Xtant amplifiers. Two 1000Ds on each pair of 15s and three 100x2s on three sets of 6.5 MB Quart components. I asked what did you want for it all and he said "what cha got" I told him I could spare $800 and he said sold. I put my guys on it and in like 20 minutes we had the car stripped. Even got four 1 farad Streetwires capacitors out of the trunk.
After they guy left I couldn't figure out what the DD on the cones meant so I called around and one of my fellow stereo install shops suggested that they may belong to a new company Digital Designs he seen in a magazine and he looked thier number up in a manufacturer registry. I call them up and the guy practically jumps my *** over the phone asking me where did I get those. Apparently they were prototypes that came up missing after the CES show in Las Vegas. I told him I bought them from a guy that rolled up with them in a car and asked him not to make an issue of it. I just wanted to know the statistics of the speakers since I had never seen them before so I could make a box. He said merry christmas and I said thanks.
I sold those bad boys for $200 bucks apiece to a guy 2 days later with two prefab boxes. Got another $1800 out of the 5 Xtant amps and MB Quart components a couple days later.
