Down Fire Vs. Up fire?
If I didn't witness it in person , I would of never believed it . I was competing (SQ) in a MECA event in New Buffalo , MI over the summer and Tom Kasmarski(Spelling?) from Team Phat Hertz out of ILLinois , hit 150 db with a single 10 in his s-10 truck . He has also recorded a 151.40 at a different Meca Event . He competes in the SPL Amateur Street 1 class . All using a dash mount Term Lab meter . I placed 2nd in SQ .

Term-Lab Meters actually use a sensor not a mic , that is double suction cuped to the windshield . You act like you don't believe me . All the info is on Meca's website . Term- Lab is the official meter of Meca , Usaci , Db drag racing , Db cup and Bace Race omong others .

It wasn't me who hit 150 db . I was just at the event competing in SQL , I don't do SPL (never have , never will) . I don't know how much power he had driving the sub . I think he had something like 50 "(length) of port though . And I think the box was like 6 cubic feet .

I'm well aware that you know what a Term Lab is . You were the one acting like I didn't know what one was . As with every Meca event I've attended , All readings are with the windows up and doors closed .

doors open windows down = outlaw
outlaw scores tend to be 3+ db higher than legal scores
you still didn't awnser my question, what subs, amp and box specs were you using
well it was placed on the passengers side dash. and the windows were roled up and theytested in and the dbs ranged from 130-139 the guy said it was ok for a truck and i started to laugh. I know yall dont believe it i didnt really either but it was a nice new set up the were using

I hit 142.00 on the Termlab legal with 2 RE audio sx10's, 2 Autotek xs900.2's and a 2.912cu ft ported box tuned to 32hz

130 is easy to hit. 140 is a lot different. 139 sounds about right if your running a sealed box with that setup. you'd be on the low side if it was ported. I was hoping you would say you were running audiobahn 10s and a 1000w pyle amp... man what fun that would have been.

this is what I was really waiting for, drivers side dash is the wrong side, but it might be close enuff, what did the mic look like, what subs, amp and box. 130 is alot different than 139, which is different than 140. generraly when someone wants to brag about an spl score the format is this:
