I installed one today. Bought the 10"P3S dual 2 Ohm. Bridged it with a 2 channel amp. Sounds great. It replaced a 10" JL W3. It is only 3.5", plenty of clearance for a box under the seat.

I recently had one in my truck and it was about half as good as the 10W1 JL I have now.

Try

You can still try. That is just my opinion. Even though the JL's say they dont handle much power I have 500 RMS going to the 1 ten and it has no problem handling this. Maybe try to push more power to them. Im currently using a Boston Acoustics amp wich in my opinion is one of the best amps out there for sound quality. In my opinion the JL sound much better, but it is personnal preference. Does your JL's have the exact amount of air space??

I have a Pioneer 10'' shallow mount under my seat in my 03 screw. it sounds good but it all depends on what you like. I added two more tens in the floorboard just to give me some extra knock when i want it though
