Profi Vandis are probably one of their brighter tweets.

They are pretty bright compared to some, yet compared to others they are pretty mellow. Ive heard plenty of soft dome tweeters that are harsher and brighter than these.
If you want them brighter, and you want to know they are their, they can definatley do that.
Ive finally done enough tweeking and what not that I have these sounding fairly mellow and more to my liking. Enough that quite a few people would never guess they are metal dome.
But like I said, you can make them bright and catchy easy enough too.

Why is your sub in the pictures different than what you have listed as equipment?

Because he, like many other adamant car audio guys on this site, changes his setup more than you probably change your underwear

I've got a pair of BM12's that need a box still

I currently have a BM10 and it's one of the best sounding 10" subs I've ever heard. Everyone that hears it thinks it's at least a 12 when it's shaking the mud off the bumpers. I can not wait to get these BM12's installed!

The guys are right. I have switched once or twice in the truck. Let's see, here is what I have tried. All with good success. But, the Mag is tops.

Elemental Designs 11Kv2 in music moose box no lift
Elemental Designs 11Kv2 in Q logic box no lift
Adire Audio Koda 10" in Q logic box no lift
Arc Audio 10" Arc Series in Q logic box no lift
Image Dynamics IDQ 10" in Q logic box no lift
Arc Audio 12" Arc Series in custom box with lift
SI Mag 12" in custom box with lift
(2) Elemental Designs 11Kv2 in custom box no lift
(2) Image Dynamics IDQ 10" in custom box no lift
SI Mag 12" custom box with lift

This is the order I tried them. Not bad for a year and a half.

Are they firing up or down? They aren't firing at the back of the legs? That's my concern with the W7's. I prefer not to seat lift but I am open I really don't want to fire forward though I will. I need the W7 bass and quality though.

the only way your going to be able to run a w7 is with a seat lift and firing forward

The 10w7 will require a seat lift and firing forward. The 8w7 may fit without a lift but, it will still have to fire forward. If you do not want to do a lift, big bass will be hard to do. Multiple 8's will get plenty loud. That is what styx is considering doing in his. But, that low bass extension is hard to get without a really good 10 or 12. With a lift it brings more options in for big deep bass.

I know I will do the lift and if I do I want the 10W7's which should be nasty has I get atleast a 1000 watt amp for the subs compared to my 500/1 for the single 10W7 I ran in my 2003 Harley.

MAGs have a huge following not only here but in the car audio scene too. It also depends what you are looking for as well...SPL, SQL, SQ. This also needs to be taken into consideration when weighing all the factors.

If it were me...I would be running dual IDMAX12s over any other sub on the market right now, but like the W7...they are too big to properly fit in my truck and still have a rear seat.

Rainbow makes a speaker that fits in everyone's price range...from $100+ to $3000+. Just depends with what you are looking for. Again, the Rainbows I'm running, I can't be happier with for now and don't plan on changing anytime soon.

Here's the link to Rainbow:

If you see something you like...get ahold of Don...aka 6spdcoupe...he'll take care of you.

After this being said...it ALL boils down to what you like and what sounds good to you. It is your money.
Do the MAG's hit as hard as the 10W7's you had? Were they both powered by the same amp? I assume your box aims up or down, not firing forward? And with your MAG's are you still using the seat lift?

What's the difference in the Mag and the BM?

Yep, they do...and sound better doing it. The MAGs are down firing. I had the 10W7s powered by the same amp (Zapco 9.0), but they were wired to a 6 ohm load on a 4 ohm 9.0. The MAGs are wired to a 2 ohm load on a 2 ohm 9.0. Zapco has two different 9.0s...one is 2 ohm stable and the other is 4 ohm stable.

Who made the box and how much volume do you have?
Who sells the MAG's?
How much power do I need to send to them?

Thanks
