04+ Guys who've used acoustic dampening..

My eDead came in today, and I'd like to do it this weekend.

Did you do the entire front doors, or just behind the speakers??

If the whole door, how the eff does the door cover come off?

I plan on doing all 4 doors, back wall, all of floorboard, and "b" & "c" pillars.
to remove front doors
1) remove front speakers
2) remove switch panels
3) remove 2 6mm screws from bottom of door panel
4) remove bottom 2 front speaker capture nuts from sheet metal
5) remove 10mm bolt behind switch panel
6) pull up and out on door panel
7) remove handle by pressing 2clips together, and pull handle toward "interior" of truck then out back of door panel.

I would do the roof before I did the floor if I had to do it again. I also recomend using expanding foam in the c pillars and back wall cavities while the truck is gutted

Do inside the door (behind speakers) as much as possible. Then do the entire door behind the door panels. Some people even go a step farther and door the door panels as well. I don't see a need for that except maybe right around the speakers.

I posted a detailed explanation on door panel removal a few months back.

I done inside of door as much as possible, install a 10 x 12 piece of E4 foam behide speaker hole, made a panel of cover the big hole in door, then covered with Edead, then covered with E4 foam... yes, the door panel will be a bear the get back on...

same on back doors

Pics in my gallery...

still have to do the back wall, I already have the Edead setting here..I myself am not planning on doing the roof and floor...

lol you should see it now.... nothing but sounddeadening there now. the door you don't see doesn't have a speaker in it and the fade was all the way to the front anyway

I would doo the roof before i did the back wall... makes a HUGE difference when its raining.... of course I don't think you have enuff to do three layers like I did

I used about 20 sq ft for the floor, about 60 on the roof and 20 on the back wall

then I bought another 100 sq ft and used about 10 on the c pillars and what I wasn't able to get on the back wall twice. then I used 15 sq ft in each rear door and about 30 sq ft in each front

Alright, I'm going to do it tomorrow AM.

How long does it take each door, you think? To apply the edead?

All of mind are single layer of the thicker EDead with E4 on top, so extra layers would not be needed... including installing EDead, making baffles, making custom panels for the holes, covering with E4 and speaker install... took me a day a door...
