Most people around here will advise against it, but this was by far the best thread I remember that addressed doing a cut through. lol

Take pics when you start the cutting.

Sure.
On an '85 S-10 lwb w/camper shell...
But that truck is in the weeds at my father-in-laws property, and is now in my bro-in-law's name... so... no pics.
It sounded great. 2 15's in a single cab S-10... mean.

From what I understand... you can relocate the motor to a different location that suits your needs better... I know you did'nt ask for my opinion but i'm gonna give it anyways... Dont cut up your $30K truck for some subs, unless your doing it for competition...

Im cuttin it!
Again knowing you were not asking for anyones opinion. You have a supercrew, there is enough room in there to make crisp clean bass without cutting through the cab/bed or losing space. If you are going SQ with a port into the cab you will need to widen and angle your port higher on the cab or go with a longer slotted port lower to the floor for upfront sound quality or else it will not catch up with the rest of your sound stage(unless your head unit alows you to time align your subs?). I am not trying to come across in any way other than helpful please dont take this wrong. But the only good cut through is done with a camper top and an angled wall leading to a large hole, almost like and SUV or VAN and that is really only good for SPL(which is why most SPL teams run vans.) Again I was just making sure you had all the bases covered before you hack into her. But I will be the first one to tell ya there is nothing like the smell of 8000 watts fry'n up speakers in the bed of a truck with the smoke pouring through the cut! I wathched a guy in a nissan fry 4 fosgate hx2 12's that way loud but smokey! Be sure to post pics!!
I'm tagging along.. if its done right a cut through can look clean in both the cab and bed, of course we all know what happens when you get xtrem and start hackin for some piece of crap L7 12's

I am a perfectionist and i have $ to do things right. It will be done very classy. I have taken this entire system out of my Ciggarete boat and putting it in here. Im very happy with how this system sounded in an open boat and know Ill love it in the bed of my truck. the good part is there are 2 bandpass boxes and each has a 6"port hole so that small hole is all i need cut through the cab. it will come through the back seat armrest and have speaker cover material over. very stealth. you will never know where the bass is coming from. I will have it professionally done by a reputable & known shop. I was only wishing to see pics of some professional jobs as well... not home-made jobs like the one above. I do appreciate it and I will post pics once done.
on another note, i have seen many SCrew systems with the typicle under the backseat boxes and certainly will never go that route. i feel those systems are a waste of $ (IMO) and not much better than stock.
I am active in car shows with my 03 Cobra and plan to do the same with this truck and it's going to take something very custom.
Thanks again guys.
