dude I stil have no clue wha to get as far as comps. I'm still leaning towards a 3 way with a 7 inch woofer.... in the door (im that good). what do you recommend bry? I have a 250x2 @2 ohms ready now but I really wanted to go active with about 100x6 @4 ohm. but I'm having a hard time finding that last xs900.4

so what would you pick between the powerlines, D971, and maybe something like the seas lotus, i'm probably going to go 2 way since I can get a 7 incher in the door..... plus then I don't have to buy another amp and go active

PM sent also.
Styx, are you still going to go active, even if you get something like the PL's or D9's?
If your thinking that, why not just get some nice DIY (not the brand DIY) mids and tweets, instead of of buying a whole comp set and not using the crossovers, which can be a decent chunk of the money you spend on the comp set. They way I see it is you could just get a mid and tweet equal to those in a comp set for cheaper because you wouldnt have the added cost of a xover, or else spend the money you save from not getting a crossover on some nicer mids/tweets? Just seems like wasted money to me if you buy a whole set and throw out the xovers when you could have used that money on some separate mids and tweets.
Of course not saying you can run a comp set active...just seems like wasted money, not to mention the crossover that comes with them is made to work those drivers to their fullest potential, so why not use them?
Im not trying to be smart or tell you what to do, I know you are perfeclty capably of making up your own mind and you sure know what your are doing, but I just thought Id throw that in.... :shrugs:
If you arent running active then feel free to cyberslap me

You don't have the benefits of the passive xover doing all the work for you...you have to manually set your points and slopes. Gives you more flexibilty in your settings.
Make sense?
plus the amp setup in the bed wll look better with the three amps I got. active would be nice but at this point I just want something besides these stupid stockers. it doesn't matter anyway since I need the bedrug before I do anything else
