It's interesting that you mention that... I was seriously considering making molds for these... as I'd imagine if I made a product like this, there would actually be a market for them...

My uncle makes concrete garden art sculptures. I am thinking of calling him to find out how to do it.

I'll let you know if anything comes of it

I'm sure they won't be that expensive.

did you think about making kick panels?
stick with the stainless and polish it....if you go aluminum, you'll be polishing it every weekend.

Kick panels on my truck are a bad idea, and actually any truck/suv that has a large center console that connects to the dash. Too many obstructions before the sound gets to your ears, i.e. underside of dash, legs/feet, front of seat, center console... unless you've got ears in your feet, trucks don't do well with kick panels... trust me, I had them in my Tahoe.

As far as the grille goes, well... I can cut aluminum thicker and have it weigh half as much, get it mirrored (for free) and powder coated clear for a half-rack of beer.

I think it's a damn good deal

So far all I've got built are the mold boxes... I don't have the chemicals yet.

I spent most of the weekend building a subwoofer enclosure that'll go in the center of my dash...

I'll upload pics later...

Very...very sick install man. I might take a set of those depending on the leg room and If not, I know some people who would kill to have some.

Those are awesome! I wish 1% of any of the stuff I've made for my vehicles looked that good. I think I'd have to be in on a couple too.

Thought you guys might like to see the enclosure I built for an 8" subwoofer that'll be here on Tuesday. Again, still in primer, and still have a bit of finish sanding/priming left to do, but you get the idea....

Here's the sub I got coming... It's an AuraSound NSF8:
