My System is finished (1st MOD)

I just finished up the install today, had to install the 5x7's in the rear doors.
Thanks for the help
RageOfOrder ieee_raider 97f250 HardcoreHehaw dixieF150scab

Heres my setup
AUDIO ENHANCERS FORD F 150 CUSTOM FIT 10" SUB BOX (ebay)
Alpine CDA-9856 CD/MP3/WMA Receiver (crutchfield)
Alpine KCE-422i Ipod Control Interface Cable (crutchfield)
Blaupunkt PCA1300 300W x 1 Car Amplifier (crutchfield)
Infinity Reference 1040w 10" 4-ohm Component Subwoofer (crutchfield)
EFX Amplifier Wiring Kit 10-gauge 250-watt w/Patch Cord (crutchfield)
Infinity Reference 5x7 (from old system)

I put my amp where my jack was, I even kept the jack holder in place and fabricated a rack for the amp so it stays off the ground. Also I felt the box was to close to the ground so I took the front rubber foot and added a socket to it to make it higher off the ground. IMO it sounds 10x better. Pics are in my gallery.

heres the link I need to find out how to link to my gallery

Nice looking install, I like the idea of using the jack bracket to keep the amp up off the ground.

How does it sound?

Awesome, looks good!

Also, I'm glad you put "1st Mod" in the title, because you'll find your stereo is never really done. There is ALWAYS something you can add or upgrade.

The current setup sounds good I assume?

It sounds awesome! the alpine unit has 3 inputs, 1 for a sub and you can adjust the sub from that. the 5x7s are pushed by the head unit. I have the bass on the head unit all the way down on those so they wont blow. I had to adjust the sub box higher to really get a fuller sound. I had an older kicker w/ an orion amp in my old truck and this system puts that to shame. its strong and clear. I dont need to put it past 22 on the volume ****. im really happy with it.

Go to your User CP
then to Edit Profile
scroll way down to Gallery Number
It says "Enter the number of your F150online Photo Gallery (see your gallery URL ... mygallery.cfm?gnum=xxxx) and a small camera with a link to your gallery will appear."

My number, for example, is 7064. Just go find yours and put it in that box and you're all set.
