first off the person who holds the record in ss 1-2 hit it in march with 2 15's. second it wasnt a sanctioned event i metered it at. we were tuning and working on wiring bugs and were metering it. a friend of ours that owns a shop stopped by the shop i got my sponsorship through. he has 2 of the new eclipse 15's (i cannot remember the model number) in the back of a tahoe in a standard ported box. and hit hits consistent 157-158. like i said, i dont care if you believe me or not, just keep in mind that it is possible and has been done. if you want. the first show here in omaha is june 1st,and i will get a printout of my score and scan it and put it here for you. im gonna try to get to other shows around here and in iowa/missouri but that is the first i am gonna get to for sure.i will get a printout or pics (but you'll prolly say i doctored them or something.) or will see if i can get a printout and put them here. hopefully you will see my name on the db drag site. who knows, maybe ill even see you in nashvileat the db drag finals.then i can see the look on your face when you find out it is true. i dont mind criticism or disbelief but being immature and calling me a bull*****ter is a little out of line. start saving your money and maybe one day you too can hit big numbers.

Hmmmm.....So there are a lot of f150owners interested in hitting high SPL. I wonder if there will ever be an F150Online.com Annual meet or event? That would be awesome. Or at least maybe an F150Online.com Sound Off competition? hmmm....I wonder what it would take to cordinate something like that?...

verify all you want, but your 162 is bull. i just asked somebody that knew about Metro's van, as simple as that. i can't wait for you to get metered at an event, either way (162dB or 140dB), I'll be happy. if you hit 162, you're my hero, if not, i'll get my apology. hahaha

ok i have a question for you know. what gives you the right to sit there and question the posts on here anyways. you question silverx and he gives you the same reply.. there are alot of things you dont believe until you see them. just because your buddy with all those 15's only hit a 63 means i cant break 160 with my 2? hate to break this to you, but rockford makes a decent sub..but not a spl heavy sub. did you ever check out the page in ca&e that had the car with a single 15 that hit a 167? how long have you been in car audio? do you work for a shop? are you a sales rep? just want to know what makes you so high and mighy into car audio.

Fellas, ya know it's all in the design.....I have personally seen 2 Audiobahn AW1505's with 1 Earthquake PHD2 hit 161... and now the cat is building 2 AW1805X's with 2 PHD2's. The 1505's even hit harder in ported enclosure's. C'mon it's the year 2001 technology is on the rise :> )....How about 2 Kicker 12L7's in ported enclosure with one amp little tuning before comp and hit 154. Goto some comps and check out the seen, you might just be amazed. I get to try out lots of equipment, from cheap to expensive and I get amazed at what different products can do for the price. I now have an A18001 Audiobahn Class D amp pushing 3 12's in a Bandpass box. Had to try Bandpass since it's has always been the **** talk of everyone of it's sound, It has great SQ and SPL is great. I will try to get metered before I sell it.

that's good to hear, hit some events and we'll see your posted score on the summary page, cool. the only thing I can think of is that the meter is WAY, WAY high. a standard ported box in a tahoe, 157, nah, sorry again. maybe i should go up where you live and start getting my stuff metered, make me look good. anyway, you may be just mistaken, in that case, sorry for saying that stuff. but if you're not, you're full of it

see, i wasn't questioning silverx, i was merely trying to get some info on his setup since we both have expeditions. so don't start to try to turn others against me, i am talking to you, and only you. just get your stuff metered and we'll talk. i agree, technology has come a long way, but some things are just really hard to believe, even in this day and age...oh, and i'll take Fosgate Powers over Memphis subs anyday, but that's me

I do now one thing, trying to get over 165, even over 160 starts to turn into a project. It takes quite a bit of equipment etc just to gain 3db. My friend was hitting high 150's and just to get it to 160 was a nightmare. Different ported enclosure, lots of sounddeadening etc...It's like drag raceing, I was tuneing a TT Supra and let me tell ya 12.0's consistent but just to friggin hit 11.9 or high 11's was ridiculas. The same goes for the SPL, I even have my plastic panels with sounddeadening on the back sides of them. Also useing Bass Drivers will gain some db usually quite a bit. I use a Audiobahn ADB 39. The highest db gain I had seen with just adding one was 7bd, I have been told that some have gained 10+db but?????? The Bass cube is also a nice piece. I will be trying out the ABD39X hpefully soon, has a slight difference. Also with the new Audiobahn A18001D amp I am useing now is nice bec it has an adjustable subsonic filter which works really nice for Bandpass enclosure setups.

Also a nice SPL piece is Audio Controls Epic in dash bass processor to maximize bass. It get's maxed at 150 but that's good enough bec if you can hit 150 you doing quite well........

i will personally vouch for the PG bass cube. at one competition, i ran one pass with it off then the next with it on. i gained almost 2 dBs. that's a pretty significant jump for my setup being sealed. and it also incorporates a subsonic filter to extend speaker life, and the adjustable bass boost is great too.
