You're still at 600x227, so no.

The first stage to implementation has gone in to place. Not totally sure if it's working or not but, I plan to experiment some when I have some time...

At this time, you are unable to add a signature that is greater than the 500x100 rule (by theory)... this has not/will not affect current signatures.

Also, WMR - it affects the .jpg or .bmp (or other) in the signature only right now... key words, right now. Text may be one of the next targets.

The pic I sent you was exactly 264x100. Post it WITHOUT changing the size. If you make it bigger, it WILL get blurry.

Can't you make it so when members attach photos to thier sig it resizes it for them? Or maybe have a crop tool on the page?
since your image is rectangular it will not resize to the 500x 100 size very well

Dont have time to do others - will be deleting the images in a few days

Would IB consider something with a more reasonable aspect ratio, like 400x150?

I am not an IB employee but, I feel that I can speak on behalf of the management team on this one...

While I understand your request, it's taken quite a bit of time to simply accomplish the very mundane task of getting a signature size limit in to place. Now that it's in place, it's not really open for debate as we'd be back at square one.

Again, I understand your question but, we simply cannot entertain size suggestions at this point in the game. We all have to play by the 5x1 rule - me included.

Sorry, man.

RP, if you are not familiar with the admin control panel, it takes about 15 seconds to change the sig image size limit for each usergroup. If it has taken so much time, I would suggest that the management learn their forum software a bit better and/or re-evaluate the bureaucratic procedures for implementing changes.

I personally could care less what the limit is - in fact the forum I admin has totally disallowed images in sigs. I'm simply trying to make it easier for the membership in general to use a picture that has somewhat normal aspect proportions, and a 400x150 would not be significantly larger from a byte standpoint. The average member here is not capable of manipulating images - they have a hard enough time figuring out how to simply POST them.

RP, I'm not trying to get on your case, being that I admin a forum, I understand exactly where you are as a moderator. However, I want to go on record as saying that since Steve sold out, I have been VERY unimpressed by the new owners. They can't even be bothered with fixing major issues such as the ones that plague the galleries, making them almost useless.

Enough said, continuation via PM is welcome.
