Bought a used 16 F150 from GMC dealer (trade in) this week and want to trial it before subscribing to Sirius.

I will figure out how to enable it and report back if it sounds any better now...I also need to figure if the signal drops Like random F150’s seem to do.

Expecting very little and hoping for better. ;-)

XM in my '07 is great, but it's a SkyFi using the OEM roof mounted Ford Sirius antenna and a wired modulator.
The OEM Sirius receiver lies dormant inside the dash under the radio.

Bad sound quality sounds to me like an equipement issue, not connection.

Cost nothing to do a rehit, but as I've seen it happen,
you either get signal or you don't,
there is no fade in or fade out zone of reception.

Our new Subaru Sport has SiriusXM OEM, it sounds same clearity to us.

Try the preview channel "0". Coming up on a holiday, might do a free weekend even.

EDIT: …. Just saw advertisement, free up through December 3rd 2019.
