Wow, I'm just now back to Ford (so Sirius) but on my Nissan, which had XM, every time I called to cancel, they let me renew for 5mos at $20. $4 a month is something I can do. Do the Sirius CS reps not do this?

Sirus Everything

I just received my renewal last week and they want $129.50 for 1-year. Now they are calling with the same offer but the guy said with tax etc. it would come out around $149. Does anyone have a 'good' promo code ?

He said that did include both Sirus AND Travel Link. Is that what they are calling 'Sirus Everything' ?

Well after purchasing my wife's edge brand new in December 2008, the Sirius package finally shut off! HAHA, what a free run that radio had..

My F150 and Edge are now both without Sirius, I am not worried as I have always found myself mainly listening to an iPod, but recently I was visiting with the parents and drove my dad's truck around with Sirius, it was rather nice and I enjoyed the variety of music that the same ol' songs on my iPod cannot provide.

I do not NEED Sirius, but it's definitely grown on me. What current deals have you guys been getting for either one or two radios?

Is the $77/Year still valid?

Also, neither vehicle has ever had a subscription beyond the freebie provided upon purchase.

Thanks!

Try going to " www.sirius.com/savenow " . I let me subscription expire and they have been calling and sending my letters to renew for $77. They want you to renew online or over the phone so they can sign you up for an automatic renewal and whatever the current price is at that time, which could be most anything. I told them "No Way" so they said they could send me an invoice but it would cost me an additional $2 and then they also add some sort of tax which builds it back up to almost $84.

I told them I was pissed off at them for doing the channel line up change without notifying me. I had one of my presets set to a comedy channel and when I went into Lowe's for a min my kid decided to listen to that channel. When I came back out I discovered that channel number now was a VERY ADULT channel and they had been talking about oral and **** sex and masturbation. My kid got quite an education to say the least ! ! ! I told them I would acept the $77 deal but that was all I was going to pay (No $2 invoice charge and NO taxes etc, just $77) and hung up. Of course no invoice has showed up and yesterday I got another standard $77 offer.

Hey Grunt, which channel did your kid turn to? The only adult channels I know of are the 2 Howard channels and the playboy channel and they didn't change their channel numbers. Unless your talking about the rawdog comedy channel. I feel for ya as far as your kid getting an earful.

It was channel 103 (Blue Collar Radio) that they changes to Spice Radio.

Channel 102 (Sirius XM Stars) changed to the Playboy Channel

Channel 131 (Fox News) changed to a Christian Talk show

etc etc etc and there was no advance notification that they were going to do that !!!

I let my subscription expire and have no intention to restart.

My wife had an existing XM account balance that she wanted to transfer into my Sirius account since she doesn't drive her car much.
They refused to do that. Uh, aren't XM and Sirius the same?

I use my smartphone and Pandora these days. Far better for the same content.

I am surprised you did not know about the update, I got a ton of notification. How long to you listen each day? A lot of the channels I listen to had pre-recorded bumpers telling about the change as the DJ's on the music stations were mentioning it. I also think I got an email and in all the communication they were stressing that presets were going to be a need to updated.

I was happy because my Stiletto in my truck aswell as the Starmate 2 in my garage (that I shut off 4 years ago yet it still works shh dont tell anyone) both updated the channels automaticlly. The only unit we needed to update the pre-sets our self was my wife's stock unit in her Edge.

Dude, you had an awesome run. We bought my wife's Edge in December 2007 and they shut that thing off like 6 months to the date. I expected it coming because they were sending me renew deals saying that our trial was up soon.

Around that same time (Christmas 2007) my wife bought me a Stiletto so I can listen to Howard at the Gym. I switched the service from my Starmate 2 to my Stiletto. I was pretty sure I checked that the Starmate was shut off and when it was I threw it and all the accessories in a box in the basement. About a year ago I was cleaning stuff out for a garage/ebay sale and found it and tested it out to see if it still got power. Oh it got power alright, plus over 100 channels of content. Needless to say that went into the garage where it still is. Everytime there is a system update I sit there and cringe that I will not get the service back. So far it still works.

HAHA It was great. She had the travel and traffic links as well. We could use those for traffic flow and fuel prices. It was good! Mainly because it was free!

HAHA That is great, I am trying to figure out a way to set up a new audio system for my garage once I move in two months.. I'm gonna keep an old Sirius radio in mind once I find it!

So my subscription expired about a month ago. I just let it run out because I couldn't afford to pay for it in May. I had credit card auto-bill, so I have never seen so much as a bill, reciept or a thank you in 5 years. I cancelled my credit card a few months ago...Sirius tried to bill the credit card, and has now shows me $ 17.00 past due. They were going to honor the $ 77.00/ year, but won't waive the $ 17.00 fees, and wont start up service until the fees are paid. All they would have needed to do is send a bill? I have not received anything stating that I owe them anything?

I love Sirius service...I have traveled to places that my GPS quit working, but I still have Sirius service. The Blues Channel is the best! But I am very pissed regarding these extra fees.

After finally agreeing to renew my subscription for their $77 offer it was reactivated, except for the traffic portion of their Travel Link, I received an invoice for $99.87. I just made a copy of their $77 offer letter and mailed it back with their invoce telling to correct their invoice. Today I received another invoice, now for $102.15. Sooooo I typed a long letter, included another copy of their $77 offer letter and am mailing it back to the Kentucky address and also back to Joe Zarella at theor Detroit address. I explained to them that I was quite upset about their channel programming change and exposing my young sone to the Spice Channel and that they should at least offer me a years free subscription. We'll see what happens now or how long before they disconnect me again. Actually I don't really care as I only turn the radio on maybe 5 or 6 times a month and thats only for the news or comedy channel for my kid.

Well, after going back and forth multiple times with their invoices the arrogant B$^*@$d's shut off my service. I never got a reply back from their customer service and they kept calling without a caller ID and never leaving a message. Good Riddance !!! I don't need their lousy service anyway! It's a shame that Ford has elected to depend strictly on Sirius for their Travel Link service. They seriously need some competition from someone else!

Wife and I have been going though and consolidating bills, decided to cancel Sirius in both cars. Got it for Stern, he is always on Vacation and The Highway plays the same music every hour. On the Phone they offered me the $77 deal and I declined. Its been about a month and Now once a week they send me a "We want you back" email with $5 for 5 months per radio. Still deciding if I am going back.
