I think it's funny that people complain about not having enough money to buy the basic things in life due to high gas prices. Then they spend money on things like satellite radio and bottled water. Both of which you can get nearly the same thing for free.
I'm not ranking on satellite radio. If people will buy it, why not sell it? If someone figures out how to sell ice cubes to Eskimos, I say go for it.

I have pure mountain well water right out of the tap - and the artesian well. No need for bottled water.
But I have close to ZERO reception for any AM or FM station. The best I can do is public radio - which broadcasts thruout my state. I love public radio. But I can only take so much. This is why satellite radio IS a make or brake issue for me.
It is difficult for those is big cities who drive their truck to a work destination then drive home to even think that someone will actually use the truck FOR work. I need a work truck FOR work. And Ford, in their infinite wisdom does not offer satellite radio in the 2008 F150XL. And I have stated before, I am not paying 20-25 grand for a new truck then put some glue or screws or velcro or whatever for some aftermarket satellite radio.
I am visiting GMC and Chevrolet dealers now where satellite radio is STANDARD on all models of trucks including the work truck. Don't get me wrong, I have owned 4 F100's and F150's over the years.
Satellite radio IS a make or break issue for me. Factory installed. Yes, factory installed. God Bless all you who add aftermarket stuff. But just not me. It's MY money and I am going to buy a new 2008 truck that comes with satellite radio as standard. I could care less if it is Sirius or XM. Just give me some radio stations. Factory installed.
i love sirius...... plus where else can you get your jason ellis fix?..... that guy is fu(king hilarious.... here in chicago you get three minutes of songs for every five minutes of commercials..... ill never go back to fm

either washington has the best radio stations on earth.... or youve never listened to satellite radio...... the two are not even close to being the same thing....
on a totally different note... i think bottled water is so popular because of its convenient packaging.... its easier to throw a bottle into the recycling than it is to wash a glass.... we americans will pay to be a little more lazy..... sorry im bored
i think it depends on the type of music you like listening to, i love XM's Top Tracks, rock, and techno stations, Sirius is not bad though
i have not listened to Sirius but if people are right about the DJs then i will prefer XM over Sirius, i don't want to hear anything but music.....that is what i pay for

I have XM b/c I wanted to try the NAV Traffic feature out. I have to say that I use to think to myself, why would someone pay for radio but I have to say I was totally wrong. I love XM b/c of the NAV traffic feature and b/c of the music. I've never heard Sirus so my question is if you listen to Pop, Hip-HIP, and R&B who would you say has the best programming for that type of music.

Hey, Dude I'm hip to your lingo. I'm way cool man!
Opps, Lawrence Welk is on TV. Got to go !
Alpine, Pioneer? Chevy, Ford? Harley, Honda? Black, White? Progressive, Techno, Rap, Country?? I'm so confused. Up, Down? Mabe it's all good if you like it. Sirius has 3 sats and XM 2. If you travel the world I'd go with Sirius. If not check your sports and Howie S. or flip a coin they are both damn good I lean slightly to XM for Music. Very slightly. Both are loaded with political Bull S#!t. Left, Right. Man this is the cleanest brain I've had in years! Sorry for the outburst.
