Installing XM Radio on Stock 6-discmp3/Clean Sweep
Hey guys-
I just got my 2005 supercrew lariat that came with an in-dash 6-disc mp3 deck and I want to transfer my XM subscription from my Ranger.
I did have an alpine deck but I am leaving that and the XM kit for that in the Ranger.
So the question is...ASIDE from FM Modulation what can I do? I am also adding the JL Audio Clean Sweep with front/rear RCAs and a single aux RCA as well. anyone know what I can do about getting XM working with RCAs?

Thanks a lot man...that looks to be my savior!
Now to decide on the external XM receiver...
any suggestions on a unit that will work well, not break the bank too much, and be easy to locate without damaging the truck?

Now is a good time to invest in one of the XM2GO units. I recommend the Pioneer Airware, but the three xm2go units are internally the same, just differences in appearence and control layout.
Any unit will work the PIE adapter though; just use the output that would be used with a cassette player adapter.
There will be some AMAZING new units coming out in October.

Man, that's sweet! A perfect fit for sure. Did you just pull the RCAs out the back of the ash tray?
I think that is precisely what I intend to do. Also, how did you mount it so it didn't rattle and stuff?
Thanks!

they are not RCA's coming from the display/control. The main unit is located remotely, in most cases under a seat. There is a multiconductor wire that goes from the main box to the display mounted in the ashtray. All the other power and audio connections go to the main box wherever it may be.
