1/4 mile time

Hi I am fairly new to the site and just wanted to update you all with my recent trip to the track and see if you all have input. The truck is a 2001 f150 2wd 5.4 supercab shortbed. The Truck has 3.31 rear gears and i ran with no tailgate. Race weight with me (290 lbs) was 4670. The only mods are a custom true dual exhaust, no cats 2.5" x pipe and flowmaster 40 series mufflers dor and a knn intake. My best time last friday was a 15.7@86 with a 2.3 60ft. I just purchased a Superchips Flashpaq and was wondering if any of you have used one, and what your trucks run with what mods. Thanks.

You wasted your money, hopefully you can return it for a refund

Your truck isn't geared for racing plus it's hot out, are you sure you ran that in the 1/4 mile instead of the 1/8th mile

Yeah the flashpaq is a waste! Get a custom tune or at least a mail order custom tune and put gears in that thing. She'll wake up. Oh and don't forget efans for another 10-15hp.

Here are my mods and time. To date she has ran a best of 12.97@104.65 and a 0-60 of 4.37. All work with the exception of the tune and fuel system was done by me. The fuel system was installed durning the tuning at Troyer Performance. Here are most of my mods thus far. Whipple Twin Screw Supercharger 9.5psi, Dynatech Headers ceramic coated, dual exhaust 2.5" Mandrel featuring MagnaflowHi-Flow Cats and Muffler, X-pipe, twin heat exchangers (water to air intercooled), Fore Fuel Hat with twin 255lph fuel pumps, twin FPDM's, 2010 f150 Electric fans, SCT Programmer, Troyer tuned, GMS coil upgrades, 95MM MAF, 80mm BBK throttle body, 39lb FMS injectors, 170 degree stat, HTO plugs, Built Tranny (BC AUTO), Circle D 3500 stall converter, Driveshaft Specialist driveshaft, Yukon 4.11 gears, Caltrec traction bars, EBC Brakes and Bearings, QA1 Dual Adjustable Shocks, lowering shackles, and a Barker Cold Air Intake. I'm sure I have left something out but you get the idea. I recently purchased a Metco crank pulley and will be upping the boost to 11-12lbs and lowering her 2" in the front and 4" in the rear with the Eibach Pro kit.

I ran a 15.7@87.8 with a 2.3 60 ft last night with the flashpaq but that was manually shifting and hitting the limiter 1-2 and 2-3, with traction and a good launch the trucks got a 15.5 in it. It was 68* in epping new hampshire last night. I am grabbing a rear end in a couple of weeks and popping a set of 4.10s in it and some sticky tires. The flashpaq definetly upped the line pressure in the trans and the timing and fuel tables are definetly a little more aggressive than stock, but my quickest et is still manually shifting it. I want to see how fast it can go with bolt ons before I do trickflow 185s, cams, and a converter. At that point I will get a big boy tune. The flashpaq definetly made a difference, but its not substantial. I am an experience racer, my 1/8 mile was 10.12@70.1. I am just trying to have a little fun with the tow rig. ; )

here is the run that is in my sig. i actually lost from poor reaction time because the guy told me to roll up my window and it went green while i was doing it. this is vs a dodge ram 4x4 with a 360. i had my dial as 17.1 and he had his at 16.9 but he ran a 17.1@76mph and i ran 16.9378@81.66mph. listen for my tires chirping at :26 and also at :31 ...thats shifting from 1st to 2nd and also 2nd to 3rd at about 55mph. run was with intake but i didnt have my tuner yet.

i would guess at the track i went to, i would now get about a 16.3 or so. but i now live 1500 miles away and at 6800ft so there is no point to run mine at a track here since it will be like a 19 second run lol

Hello Twinskrewd, I was reading that you have a Efans 2010. With drives to control what, I had trouble with Brian DCCONTROL and will not sell, but it took 4 months and I sent the piece. Thank you.
