14.9 is quick for stock.

I think if you changed your rim/tire combo you would run in the 13's.

265RWHP, that just sounds soooo low. I cant even imagine talking speed contests with anything less then 300whp. Especially with the weight of the trucks.

I guess if you are gonna be a duck, you might as well try and be the best duck.

You talkin about me? thats 325 flywheel. I ran an acura rdx 2 nights ago that ran a 14.7 and got him by about 1/2 a length to 90

Built, is your supercharger project with a different motor that you will drop in?

yeah, fully built, ported blower, 16-17psi, all forged internals, custom cams, mild ported heads, and PLENTY of fuel. Its all built to handle 1000hp safely, though im looking at almost 600hp flywheel

Yeah, I understand the WHP factor
Dont forget to mention the type of dyno used as that makes a BIG difference (IE. Inertia Vs Steady State)

It's just blazingly low for my taste. I really dont count on something being quick until the 380WHP+ region. But when I first started off, the 200 WHP mark seemed pretty decent, so I guess it just depends on what you get use to.

Now I would hate to be a jerk and call you out.....BUT..... You did race a tacoma. And you may say its quick....but its not. The largest available motor in the tacoma (or double cab as in the vid) is the 4.0 V6 rated @ 236hp.

Now call me silly but a 5.4 or even 4.6 V8 should have no real issue kicking the crap out of that when its back by a 5 speed auto.

I just can get it to hook up and I have to roll in to the throttle if I had slicks I would be in the 13's

Ok - yer silly

Because - it's backed by:

- a 4-speed auto
- ~30% driveline loss
- 1,000 lbs + more weight

I went to the track on Friday and saw a bone stock 07 Crewmax run a 14.9 as well. With my AF1, Troyer 93 performance tune, Efans, and 4.10 gears, I ran a 15.5 under very similar conditions (~77F). These trucks are no joke.

they are quick...... guess when you have 4V heads and a 6 speed it makes good power.

They do make the 5.7 Tundra in reg cab. Gotta watch out for those.

Here is a bone stock 5.7. His best time of the night was 14.1 @ 97mph, BONE STOCK.
