You guys that are seeing the lag, are you able to see the ad servers loading?
No, I have pop up blockers in place. It was really bad from about 8 till 11, central time last night.

I run FF with ABP, so no ads.

Sometimes I notice on the bottom ad items that have not finished loading, but lately there is nothing since nothing loads at all, pages are completely frozen when it happens.

Not sure if I have the same problem, probably not. Very slow loading and it even locked up. That was with explorer. Fired up the Safari browser, -back in business.

It's 11pm CDT and it's pretty slow right now.

Something to look at - we are having similar issues on our PC forum, which also uses vBulletin. We have tracked it down to a memory leak. The only way we have found so far to fix it is either restart Apache or reboot the server, we haven't found the actual cause of the leak.
