I've pushed this up the chain but, not sure if we'll hear anything about it.

In the interim, please continue to report sporadic and problematic loads/post times.

Yes, has been most of the night. Lots of pages won't open, as well.

I need to get a report on when the dbase backs up... I'm thinking that it may have been occurring during your reported lag but, if not, I'll push it back up the flag pole (so that it my flap in the wind).

It was so slow as to be unusable for at least an hour last night - I don't see how Stealth and Bluejay were even able to make those posts last night.

On my forum, it only takes about 5 minutes to back up the database. When that's going on, it's not slow, it's frozen and nobody can do anything.

It took me quite a few tries to get that post in.

I find it weird how there is no set time pattern to compare when the site acts up. It's been very unpredictable.

After discussions with the 'higher ups', it appears that our dbase backs up on an hourly basis. So, while that may cause a tiny bit of lag, I'm told that it really shouldn't be noticeable on the forum level from a page load standpoint.

Because of this - and the lack of apparent problems on the IB servers - I'm really thinking that it's one of the ad servers causing it... The load balancers are seemingly humming like tops.

You guys that are seeing the lag, are you able to see the ad servers loading?
