Why did you change the site?
#2
It's change for the sake of change.
Actually, I need to increase the visibility of the Google ads (i.e. need to increase click-thru rate, thus revenue), so I wanted them higher on the page.
I have moved the back to the left.
Truth is, I wanted to create a new style and I obviously have no idea how to use this &^#$ forum software. I thought I was creating a new style, hidden from the public. Turned out I was wrong.

The placement is a nice change. Now I actually read the ads for a change. The Colors & Fonts along the top Main Menu suck, however. It's just plain awkward up there now with the empty space on either side of the banner as well.
I think your on the right track. A little more tweakin' is all you need.

My cookies got scrambled this morning,
No auto login.
The problem was with any of the GD threads near the top that had been around at least a few days and I had accessed before.
This morning when I wasn't auto "logged in" I noticed I wasn't sent to the top of page one, I had to scroll up a few lines.
It looks to be about the same amount of space as the new frames that were just added.
It may be on my end, my cookies were hosed and that almost never happens.
15 yr old had a pajama party last night.

Make sure you empty your temo internet files
If you have broadband you might also set IE to get a new page every time - Tools - Internet Options - Settings - Everytime you visit a page.

The larger font on the menu bar at the top is much better. It's readable now for us high-res folks (1400x1050). Also, good call on losing the "main menu" title bar!
I have mixed feelings about the 2-faced truck in the top right. Perhaps if the two trucks were the same color it would be better effect. I dunno.
Anywho, how 'bout this for an idea... the top is a little cleaned up and not so spread out.

dzervit,
Placing the banner in that position with not really work because:
1) that page location is only applicable to the forums, not the entire site
2) the 468x60 banner, along with the message board icons would cause the page to be too wide for lower resolution users (i.e. 800x600)
The "dual truck" header is something I threw together in about five minutes. It's probably not a final thing.

Curse those low-res users. They muck everything up!
1. There's other parts to this site? It would just requie a re-work of that standard title bar. Perhaps more work that it's worth I guess. It just seems like a huge waste of space with that banner up there all by itself.
2. What about dropping the side google adds even with the thread/forum path, thus giving you the room to shift over the banner add & message board icons to fit the lower res screens? But then again, point 1 puts the kibosh of figuring out the space issue...
