Deleting

If I am properly logged on, why can't I delete a post that has already been answered and is wasting band width, Thanx..

Because no users have the permissions to delete posts...

Place a link here and perhaps the webmaster or a moderator could help

Thanx, but if that is the case then the delete button that comes up when a user clicks on edit probably does't need to be there
it's vestigial(like an appendix)

Like the appendix its vestigial only because we dont know what it does....

Steve would have to answer the question about why the delete button shows up for people that cant delete

Poor interface design on the part of the forum developer would be my guess.

I seem to recall a long time ago the author could delete but, I think it was on a timer. Like maybe after three minutes or so the delete no longer would work.

But that was a long time ago and I don't think it was this software.

It doesn't work, if you try to wipe out the message it says, "Please enter something in the subject box," so I left a pair of wings there.
