Just to let you know how things turned out with my fuel pump.
The Dealer said for me to contact FOMOCO about reembursment for the fuel pump and labor. Ford told me to contact the dealer. The dealer said Ford would not pay for anything (out of the 3 years/30,000 range) and that they were not going to help me either. I told the both of them I was willing to pay for the labor and the fuel filter, but they should cover the pump itself as it was defective. The dealer said sorry, and for me to contact Ford once again. Ford said sorry, eat the cost. Tough way to lose a customer for only a couple hundred bucks.
