Question Why no icon for pre-97s?

Hey! How come we don't get a pretty icon for our board like the other 'model' boards get?

"I'm mad as he!! and I'm not gonna take it anymore!" Well...not really. Just curious...

Which pre-97 you going to pick? 50 F1? 53 F100? 56 F100? Something more recent?

Oh, wait a minute, we all know what our trucks look like.

Because this site primarily caters to the '97 and newer crowd, and it wouldn't be proper to humiliate all of them by showing up their trucks with one of ours.

Take care,

ROFL!!! I've been registered at this site for about 7mos or so now, and just 3min ago was the FIRST time I had noticed, and thought to myself; "Now why don't we (pre-97) get a little icon for our message board?" LOL! Great minds, I guess, huh Tom?

Make some noise people!
Put the webmaster to work.
Fair is fair and it ain't fair.
I noticed this right away but it wasn't my place to complain.

p.s. Nothing is better looking than an old Ford pickup.

Segregation, possibly discrimination. You may file a complaint with the site's ethics board.

Now if we could only find a beautiful truck to hold the honor as the Pre-97 icon.

I think this is the pic we need. If you goto svt.ford.com and goto the archive and look at a 95 F-150 Lightning, I think that would look sweet i nthere, and when you make it small you wouldn't really be able to tell its an L, but most importantly its a pre 97. I just dont knmow how to acquire the pic, since there whole page is made in Macromedia Flash. Does anyone know?

A fair way to do it.
What year did ford sell the most trucks prior to 1997?
Go all the back to 1923.

Then politely ask Steve to secure an icon of that model year for use as he did the others.

Some of the used value books have build numbers for the years in them so, someone should be able to look this up.

I believe this is worth pursuing. Next year, every 'late model' F150 owner will be in the same boat when the body style changes. You are not fighting for yourself, you will be fighting for us too.

Otherwise, the '04 icons will be all over the place and the 30,000 Prior to 2003 members will be crowded in here with you guys.

I agree with Raoul, I think finding out what hte most commonly sold F-150 was and using a pic of that for the icon.
