Cool Here is some info.

2 of the 3 Carburators are as such. They are both Holley's. 1 - Spread bore: List-6210-2 2376 below the list number. 2 - Square bore: List-1850-2 0355 below the list number.

The engine number we found was on the top rear center of the block at the back of the intake. Remember no intake on motor right now. Not sure if this was the correct number, please advise correct locations if not. 25366?, maybe a 4 or just a stamp mark after these five digits.

The heads and rear end housing, there was a small round cast emblem. On the heads it was in between the first two valves on the left hand side if looking at the heads. It was 75319 as you went around the emblem, not sure where to start with this number. The rear end housing has this same emblem with numbers on it. This was located on the right hand side of the yolk if looking at the front.

The transmission had a number on it located on the right hand side when looking at the torque converter. It was D4DP-7006-AA, should be a C4 tranny.

Everything came out of a stock '75 mustang (all drivetrain - front to back). He also has one more carb on another engine right now along with two other transmissions. One is a C6, rebuilt and a shift kit out of a '83 F150. The other is a 3-speed top loader out of a '69 mustang, nothing done to this one. Jamie knows a guy that can basically rebuild the C4 for just parts and a little bit of fluid encouragement - BEER !!!

This will be basically be for a cruising around with the option at anytime to waste someone at a moments notice. The truck is estimated when finished to approximately 2000 lbs. The rear end may be an 7.5" or 8" with 2.8 gear. He has a four-link with coil over shocks rear setup but would like to know proper panard (sp?) bar location and correct geometery for street/drag usage.

Mull this over and give us your opinions. Thanks

Carbs:
Forget the spreadbore. The squarebore is a 600 vac secondary. He's going to need a bigger carb.

Block:
The number I need for you to get is located just above the starter, on the right hand side of the block. It will look something like:
D5AE-6015-AA-10.
Below it will be another code I need, and will look something like:
5K22 (with what looks like a casting of a flathead screw at each end).

Heads:
I need the casting number that should read like this:
D5OE-GA, or similar.
The date code will read:
5K22, or similar, and will be inverted above and between the second and third rocker arms, from the left.

Take care,
-Chris

Unhappy What's the Deal ????

Chris, I have been looking at different things for the 302 engine. That have been a lot of different places that have no 302 for the year of 1975. They end at '74 and start back up at '77 or '79, what gives ???? I can't see how Ford just quit making these things for a couple of years.

I can't vouch for the places you're referring to because they're wrong. The 302 was built and sold in one or more vehicles every year from 1968 through 1996. It was not available as an option for the Mustang in 1974, 1980, 1981, or 1996, but was installed in passenger cars and trucks those years.

Take care,
-Chris

Wink Engine Build

Hi Eddy if I can help with your re-build let me know, I have done a few engines in the past and it is not all that bad. Plasti-guage is easy to use, just time consuming, get in touch with me later ok.

302

My suggestion would be to get a crate motor from
Ford Motorsport.I would buy the 351W with 385HP
for around $3800.That would rock that little 29 ford.
If not go with a stroker kit and trick flow heads.
