4R70W oil change question

Hi,
in the next time I want to change the oil and filter of my 4R70 W transmission.
I have bought a new aluminium oil pan wich have a larger contend of 2 quarts and a larger Oil cooler in the front
of the water cooler.
What I want to do is to change the cooler, the filter and the pan.
If I drain the torque converter, the pan and all hoses, how much Oil I Žll need to bring the system on max back??
IŽll take original Motorcraft Mercon V .

OK,
if I have a dry system with the larger pan and cooler, I would need about 17 quarts.
But you never get out the complete oil.
So, how much oil ran out at your oil change?

If you drop the pan, pull the torque converter drain plug, and blow out the cooler lines you will get all but about a quart out.
