up grade motor

i want to rebuild my 1994 ford f150. it has a stock 302 in it. i would like to put a cam in it. any ideas? also i would like to put headers but not sure if i want shorty headers or long tube. my truck is 4x4.

Couldn't tell ya on the headers. Stock manifolds work for me.

Long tube headers are better for the most part, lots of info on this out there. You truck has a roller 302 so cam swap is pretty straight forward, if you do the math and don't get something with too much lift for your stock rollers etc. If you don't want to get into the heads or get new heads, find a stock HO cam and run that. Speed density will keep up for the most part, WOT may give you a slight lean condition, but nothing detrimental
