I am new to this forum. Here is my issue, I have a 1993 F150 5.0 Fuel injected, truck will start and run for approximatly 10 - 20 seconds and just die. I can wait 10 -15 min and truck will start and run great and die again. I started truck and let die, removed schrader valve cover and depressed with a small screwdriver..NO Preasure. I have duel tanks and does the same on both tanks no differance...I need help with this bad I am at a loss.

 

Silly question, but have you changed the fuel filter yet?

 

Not a silly question... but the answer is no I have not changed it, I am having alot of trouble removing it...cant get the darn lines off filter. I bought the tool but cant seem to get it off.

 

You have to push the lines deeper into the filter as you insert the tool. that takes the pressure off the garter spring and allows the tool to slip under it and unlatch the filter. Then you can pull them out

I've also found that massive amounts of profanity are quite useful

 

So are a couple of cans of decent beer........
