Hood light inop

Just bought a 93 F150 (my second one ) and there's some little issues that I'm cleaning up. The simplest is the hood light. It doesn't work and I can't find a switch to check. Where is the switch located? Thanks in advance.

Sure did. New bulb and no power. All fuses are good.

Trace your wire? these get cracked and grounded out a lot.

The switch is inside the light fixture.

But if the LG/Y wire isn't hot at all times, there's a circuit fault. Do all the OTHER courtesy lights work? How about the radio memory?

OK, finally found my meter and after some "duh" moments, figured out there's a mercury switch in the lamp socket. No trons to the light assy. All other lights are working though. Checked every fuse in both panels and all are good. Time to start working back to find the fault.

...or just overlay a new wire from any LG/Y that's hot to the light fixture.

Success! Took apart the harness and switch assy, cleaned everything up, rigged the corroded positive terminal on the harness and I now have a working hood light. Thanks to all for your input.
