Here's 31x10.50 General Grabbers (knock off BFG AT) on my 96. I think it filled the wheel wells nicely.

I had 31's on for years and then switched to 32's because I had the room. I put 2 inch springs on up front to level it out more since it already had helper springs on the rear. The twin I beam has lots of room for alignment. I had it aligned perfectly with no drop brackets. I'm now running 33's. I just had to trim the bumper minimally for 33's. Both the 32 x 11.50's and 33 x 12.50's rub but its not horrible.

Had a 1980 f250 with 33"s and had mad rub plus had a horrible turning radius. I would stick with stock unless you do the mod to widen your width.
