This is his old truck. I have no idea anything about it other than it was badass. These pics were taken back in the early 80's... maybe '83-84. His is the red one.

... And his old Fairlane

The green one is a 78-79 and the Fairlane a 65-66. My first F150 was a 78, and I did have a 66 Comet. Loved the looks of the 78-79 and those years of Fairlane/Comet over all others.

Awesome trucks! That was my favorite generation F150. We had a 78' growing up, it was handed down to my younger brother as his first vehicle. He was proud to be rolling up to high school in 2000 in a 1978 F150.

Well, my father passed away not too long after these pics (1985) but from stories from the family, he sold the truck to a local guy back about the same time the pics were taken.

The Fairlane ended up getting into a fender bender about the same time and he fixed the body work and primed the entire right side for paint. He parked it in my grandfathers garage until he got around to painting it.... sadly that never happened. My grandfather pulled it out about 6-7 years ago (interior/top still in MINT condition) and examined it. The frame ended up having about a dollar bill sized rust hole in it so he got rid of it. He's rather vague about WHERE it went so I think he scrapped it. Needless to say, I was rather pissed since it was supposed to be mine.

Nice trucks and '67 Fairlane. We actually have a '66 that we are working on right now. The '66-'67 Fairlanes are great looking cars.
