95 F150 Questions

Alright guys i love these body style trucks and have a 95 thats been in the family since new 322,000 miles on the old 351. I am looking at another 95 i found on Craigslist. He said that it was a 5 speed manual and didnt mention the motor it had in it. My question is what engines came with the 5 speed manuals? Im thinking its a Inline 6. He wants 1,000 bucks for it and said all it needs is a water pump and he cant afford a mechanic. i emailed him about the engine but it takes him a few days to reply. Here are the pics he sent me they are pretty crappy.

The 302 used the same 5 speed as the 4.9 and I do believe the 351 would have been backed by a ZF5, but I am not 100% on the 351.

A manual is definitely available with all three engine, I am not completely sure if the 351 would be a 4 speed granny gear or a 5 speed.
My guess would be that by 95 they would of put a 5 speed behind it for gas mileage.
Google it?

Bet that 351 with a standard would get up and go.

Oh i'm sure it would, from what I have found on the interent the 351 was offered with a wide ratio zf5 and the 7.3 diesel was offered with a zf5 close ratio.
If you get that good of a looking truck with a 351 and a 5 speed for 1000 bucks i envy you sir.

Being my luck it will be the 4.9 . Oh well thats a hell of a motor also, i have a inline 6 in my 94 ford van with 243,000 miles and it runs perfect and gets decent gas mileage too.

It's most likely a 4.9 or a 302 with a M5OD. The ZF in the 351 is a rare beast, almost all 351's had a E4OD. The 302 gets better mileage than the 4.9 and is a lot peppier out on the road. The 4.9 was built for work.

I was hoping someone with more knowledge would chime in, when I bought my truck the guy also had a 92 with a 351, but unfortunately an auto. Man if I could find 351 5 speed I would be in heaven.
Good luck KR.

Further research reveals that in 1995, the 351 was only available in a F-150 with an E4OD automatic. If the one you found is a 5 speed manual, it's either a 4.9 or a 302. Thinking about it a bit more, I think the ZF was only behind a 351 in the F-250/F-350.

I thought I had heard this somewhere but refused to believe it, Ford should of offered the 351/5 speed in the f150. I'm sure it would of been a tank.
