EFI to Carb swap and E40D trans

EFI to Carb swap and E40D trans

im looking to build a new motor for my show truck. im wanting to build another 302 but im wanting to get rid of the efi and electronics and carb it. my trans is brand new and its a E40D can i still use the E40D trans since its electronic do they make a computer to control the shifting? or do i need to go with a C6 or similar trans.

wow thats more than i want to spend lol i can get a used c6 or aod trans cheaper than that

775 for the controller and 157 for the harness for the trans

Going from EFI to carb is one of the biggest steps BACKWARDS people always want to do. Instead, try learning the system and how it works.

Why so anxious to ditch the EFI, especially on a 302 for which there is an unbelievable array of stuff available

its strickly a show truck, carb is cleaner not near as many wires, harness, etc. just like this guy brand new 08 pulled the factory motor and built a 383 stroker

Get a C6. An AOD won't hold up behind a built 302 unless you get it built too.
