Hello all, I'm pretty new to the whole F150 thing. I have a 1993 F150 4x4 with the 300c.i. straight six. Its four wheel drive with 33x12.50x15's on it. I was wondering what I can do to get some added performance out of the 300. I really like the engine and dont want to swap in something bigger. I just need a few tips to point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Not to sound like a d1ck, but the quickest, easiest way to get better performance is get smaller sneakers. 31x10.50's are easier to spin than those 33's.....but wont be as cool looking.

If you want the truck to go faster you should swap in at least a 5.8L. If you want to tow a house, leave it how it is.

Ignition upgrade/ Base timing increase/ plug gap increase. $150. plus easy elbow grease. Your tire size isn't helping! http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/show...ht=timing+bump

A high flow cat and a 2.5" free-flowing cat-back exhaust

A 3" exhaust is awfully big for a stock 4.9. It really kills exhaust velocity at low RPM which is why I recommended the 2.5"
