not hard starting but a little rough at an idle. kind of knocks around a bit under the hood

ahhh im going to drive this thing off a cliff. so it wouldnt keep pressure because i could have a leaky injector?

and idk maybe somebody else can shed some light on the injector part....

ahh. id say i would just find a new truck but whats the point? all these older trucks have the same problems eventually. guess i just gotta deal with it

so this might be a stupid question but i literally know nothing about fuel pressure and all that, how do i check it

There's a needle valve on the fuel rail. Unscrew the cap & press or screw the F/P gauge onto it. Have someone start the engine & watch the pressure. How much, stable or erratic, tells you condition of pump(s) & regulator. Have the engine shut off. Time taken for pressure to drop, tells you if the injectors are behaving themselves!

Darn! world peace, I'll just have to get used to, but I like cheese! You can buy a F/P guage for the cost of taking it to a shop, but either way deal w/ it soon & try not to keep driving it like that. Oil w/ gas makes a better metal cutting agent than a lubricant! Significant loss of compression is next! I don't like to be the bearer of bad news, but it is avoidable if you deal w/ it soon.

I believe Autozone loans or rents fuel pressure gauges.
