3/4 ton coil springs on 150

hey i was just wondering if anyones done this to their truck. i got a 93 150 independent 4x4. does anyone know if i go out to a junkyard and get some coil springs off a f250 will they fit on my 150 and will they lift it any or will it just be a rougher ride? im just trying to level it out the cheapest way possible

The TTB front end cant really be lifted without a proper lift that relocates the axle pivots ect..any lift the the front of a TTB front end gives you positive camber. Sometimes its can be brought back to specs with alighnment slugs if you go no more the 1-1.5 inches. But thats SOMETIMES.

Look at leveling kits that just relace the front coils and shocks. Pretty inexpensive, and only lift the front end 1-1.5 inches. There is another thread here somewhere that shows the "lift".
found it...

i believe coil springs didnt start coming around in the 3/4-1 ton trucks till about 2005 unless its a 2wd. then yes they have coil springs, but im not sure if they will fit. just get some level springs or spacers...

thanks for the replys. i thought the 250s came with coils and the 350s had leafs but i was wrong i just did my research. i already tried the spring spacers but got about 1/2 an inch lift. i guess i'll just save up and go with the leveling kit. problem is im a full time student and work part time for minimum wage.

F250 2wd has coils on the front, most 4wd f250's are leaf spring (our era of trucks)

would these coils fit my f150? and if so what difference would they make?

Aside from lowering it they would most likely ride rough as they're made to hold up a 1000lb engine.

If there is an F250 with coils and a 4x4 TTB out there it isn't factory. Ford never built it with anything but leaves. More than likely someone stuck F250 badges on it and/or put wheel adapters on an F150.
