'93 F150 5L 4x4 w/AOD has developed a very annoying problem. The engine will cut out at random times. It's like you turned the key off and back on!! It's NOT a miss!! It just instantly quits, then comes back on!! It's quick, less than 1/2 second each time it does it. Never does it at idle but will do it under load or steady state running. It's intermittent. Sometimes it will be a day or two between episodes, then it may be every time I drive it!! No computer codes!!!!!!! Plug wires (properly routed),new dissy cap and rotor and plugs(autolite) changed about 2k ago.
This is driving me crazy. I've checked harnesses for bare/worn spots, checked connectors, wiggled this and that in hopes of finding something unusual. No joy!!! I'm open to any suggestions as I'm completely stumped!!!
